Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information StandFor collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Effective date: June 6, 2026
1. Who we are
StandFor is an online platform for publishing viewpoints, voting on debates and predictions, commenting, following users, and managing a StandFor account. This policy applies to the StandFor website at standfor.me.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Google account information: when you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. We request only the basic profile and email scopes.
- Account and activity information: your username, profile image, posts, comments, votes, predictions, follows, favorites, notifications, badges, account balance, and transaction records.
- Content and uploads: text, images, and other material you submit to StandFor.
- Session and technical information: an authentication cookie, request information, browser or device information, IP address, and operational logs used to run and protect the service.
- Payment information: payment status, amount, currency, provider transaction identifiers, and related records. Card details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by StandFor.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate you and create or maintain your StandFor account.
- Provide posts, voting, predictions, comments, profiles, and wallet features.
- Display information you choose to make public, such as posts and comments.
- Process payments, maintain transaction records, and prevent duplicate credits.
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate service, account, support, and policy notices.
4. Google user data
StandFor uses Google user data only to authenticate you, identify your account, and populate basic profile information. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or transfer it for unrelated purposes.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. When we share information
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- Service providers that host, secure, monitor, or support StandFor.
- Payment processors, including Paddle or another disclosed checkout provider.
- Government authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Posts, comments, usernames, profile images, and other content intended for public areas may be visible to anyone.
6. Cookies and security
StandFor uses an essential sf_token cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for behavioral advertising.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to the Google account you use to sign in.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Public content may remain visible until it is removed or anonymized.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us. We may retain limited records when required by law or for security, fraud prevention, and transaction reconciliation.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. You may also disconnect StandFor from your Google Account permissions page.
Disconnecting Google access stops future authentication but does not automatically delete information already stored by StandFor. Contact us to request deletion.
9. Children
StandFor is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
10. International use and policy changes
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection laws.
We may update this policy as StandFor changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be announced through the service.
11. Contact us
